    A High Performance ERF with Coke-like Particles from FCC Decant Oil

    • The preparation and performance of ERF with coke-like particles from FCC decant oil conversion were investigated. The results show that the ERF with coke-like particles is a kind of high performance ERF with higher shear stress, lower current density and better stability. The higher than 2 kPa shear stress and lower than 60μA/cm2current density can be reached in a 2 kV/mm dc field strength. The volume fraction of clear liquid is less than 5% after the suspension was laid statically for months. Two main influences on performance of this kind of ERF, the carbonization depth and the directional structure of condensed aromatics, were discussed.
